The Package

Salary: Circa £33,500 - £35,500 (dependent on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Work Pattern: Monday to Friday 08.45 – 17.30

The role

You will be working as part of a small team dedicated to proactively managing operational risks effectively, to help support the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff.

The focus of the role is to support our teams across the business, understanding the challenges they face and helping to develop and implement practical, workable solutions to manage risks and work safely.

 

Principle areas of activity will include:

Reviewing, refining and maintaining existing policies and procedures

Leading the development of new procedures and policies in consultation with colleagues, working collaboratively across departments

Implementing robust and effective health and safety practices and systems compliant with current regulations and business requirements

Promoting awareness of safe working principles, sharing best practice and supporting departmental managers to enhance and maintain a safe and healthy environment

Supporting and undertaking accident/incident investigations, risk assessments, reviews and associated data analysis

 

The person

Qualified to NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent with a good knowledge of current health and safety regulations and experience of interpretation and implementation in a commercial environment.

The successful candidate will be a great communicator, approachable, and passionate about helping others. You will be flexible, collaborative and have a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently to manage priorities effectively.

Sound organisational, administrative and IT skills are essential together with strong attention to detail.
